A charging pad that lies flat means picking the phone up every time a message arrives. This one stands the phone at a 60 degree angle instead, so you can read it, take a call or follow a recipe while it charges, with the earbuds case and the Apple Watch topping up alongside.

The phone platform uses a dual coil layout, which widens the area that will pick up a charge and makes it far more forgiving about exactly where the phone lands. The watch pad detaches and runs on its own from a USB-C cable, useful if the watch normally charges in another room.
