New vs Budget
New Custom Built — brand new, customised by MODE. A brand-new genuine controller taken from sealed retail packaging specifically for customisation. Zero previous gameplay use, rebuilt with brand-new custom plates on genuine original hardware, fully tested, 12-month warranty.
Budget Custom Built — refurbished, serviced, rebuilt. A genuine pre-owned controller, professionally refurbished and serviced: internally inspected, cleaned, tested, then rebuilt with brand-new custom plates. Not simply a used controller with different plates. More affordable, 12-month warranty.
MODE 12-month warranty
Every MODE controller is covered for 12 months against faults in controller functionality under normal use.
The warranty does not cover:
- Accidental or physical damage
- Liquid damage
- General wear and tear
- Stick wear or stick drift caused by use
- Cosmetic wear
- Power or charging faults caused by damage, liquid or misuse
- Damage caused by unauthorised repair or tampering
A MODE warranty seal is fitted inside every controller. A removed, damaged or tampered seal may void a claim where there is evidence of third-party opening.
Where MODE customises a controller you already own, our work and the new components we fit are covered. Pre-existing faults and existing deterioration are not.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
